The GDI-8020-03 is the two-person cabin in the Golden Designs 8000 Reserve range: 47 inches wide, six full spectrum heating elements in a 3 + 3 configuration, an integrated Himalayan salt bar and floor heater, and 1,600 watts on a single dedicated 120V / 15A breaker and outlet. It is the largest Reserve cabin that still runs on one 15-amp circuit, which makes it the practical ceiling for installations where adding a second circuit is not straightforward.

Why Consider the Reserve GDI-8020-03?
This is the sweet spot of the Reserve range for most two-person households. Against the smaller GDI-8010-03 it adds 6″ of width and a sixth heating element for a modest step in price and no change in electrical requirement; against the 3-person GDI-8030-03 it avoids the jump to a dedicated 20-amp circuit. If your electrical panel and installation location are already settled, this is usually the largest Reserve cabin you can add without an electrician's involvement beyond confirming a dedicated 15-amp circuit.

Golden Designs publishes the 3 + 3 configuration but does not publish which count corresponds to which infrared band, so Wellari does not state a near/far split for this model.
Why we do not publish a number. Golden Designs' current V26.0 documentation, all issued on the same date, states different Near Zero EMF measurement figures for its full spectrum range in different documents — the model-family sheet, the full spectrum sheet and the dealer workbook do not agree with one another. Because those figures conflict, Wellari publishes the manufacturer's classification and does not quote a milligauss value until Golden Designs reconciles them. If a specific measured figure is a decision criterion for you, contact us and we will request it in writing.

"Dedicated" is a requirement, not a recommendation. The outlet must serve this sauna and nothing else — not a circuit shared with room lighting, a treadmill or a laundry appliance. A 1,600W continuous load on a shared 15A circuit is the most common cause of nuisance breaker trips. Have a qualified electrician confirm a suitable dedicated circuit before delivery.
Allow for the roof overhang when measuring against a wall — the body is 41″ deep but total projection is closer to 46″. Measure the full delivery path as well as the installation area, and leave working space around the cabin during assembly.

Natural wood notice: Grain, tone, knots and other natural characteristics vary between cabins and may differ slightly from product photography. This is normal for solid Hemlock Fir and is not a defect.

Does the GDI-8020-03 need a dedicated electrical circuit?
Yes. Golden Designs specifies a dedicated 120V / 15A breaker and outlet. At 1,600 watts continuous it is too much to share reliably with other loads. Have an electrician confirm a suitable dedicated circuit before delivery.
How is it different from the smaller GDI-8010-03?
It is 47″ wide against 41″, carries 6 heaters against 5, and draws 1,600 watts against 1,400. Both run on one dedicated 15-amp circuit and both carry the same salt bar, floor heater and touch-screen controls. If the floor space allows, this is the more comfortable two-person cabin.
Does it include an FM radio?
Yes. Golden Designs specifies a touch-screen control panel with FM station on this model, alongside Bluetooth and an MP3 auxiliary connection.
Why doesn't this page state an EMF number in milligauss?
Because Golden Designs' own current documents disagree. Three V26.0 documents issued on the same date give three different measurement figures for the full spectrum range. We publish the manufacturer's Near Zero EMF classification and are seeking a reconciled figure. Ask us if you need it in writing before ordering.
