Wellari supplies cold plunge tubs and ice baths for homes, gyms, recovery studios and clinics — from portable folding tubs to fixed installations with integrated chilling. A small number of accessories such as steps, platforms and covers are listed here alongside the tubs.
Before wood, steel or capacity, settle this: is the tub staying in one place, or does it need to move? Everything else — plumbing, power, chilling, water care — follows from that answer.

Fixed or portable — and what each commits you to
Fixed installation
A tub that stays put. Materials in this range include fibreglass, 304 stainless steel, acrylic and cedar or other timber. Most fixed systems are supplied with chilling either built in or as a matched external unit, and many add filtration and sanitisation. In exchange you commit a floor area permanently, plan power and drainage, and confirm the surface carries the filled weight.
Portable
Folding and inflatable tubs that pack down. They ask far less of the room: no permanent footprint, no fixed plumbing, and they can be emptied and stored between uses. Chilling is usually a separate decision — some are used with ice, some pair with a portable chiller.
The weight to plan for is the filled weight, not the shipping weight. Water is heavy, and a tub that arrives easily can still be too heavy for the spot you had in mind once full. Confirm capacity and the filled load on the product page before you choose a location — particularly on a deck, a balcony or an upper floor.
Chilling
A tub and a chiller are two different purchases, and some listings here include chilling while others are the tub alone. Check which you are looking at before comparing prices.
Integrated
The chiller is built into the unit. One footprint, one install, and nothing to match up.
External
A separate chiller connected by a run of hose or pipe. Needs siting, service access and a connection route planned.
Tub only
No chilling supplied. Either used with ice, or paired with a chiller bought separately.
Cooling capability, temperature range and pull-down time vary by system and are stated per product. Where a manufacturer publishes a range against a specific configuration, the product page says which configuration it applies to.
Filtration, sanitisation and water care
Water that stays in the tub between sessions has to be looked after. What a given system provides differs, so check the listing rather than assuming:
Filtration
Removes particulates. Cartridge type and change interval are per system.
Sanitisation
Ozone, UV or chemical dosing depending on the system. Some commercial suites include it as standard.
Covers
Reduce debris and heat gain between sessions. Insulated covers are listed in this range.
Multi-user and commercial settings have higher water-care demands than a single-household tub. If the tub will serve clients, factor filtration and sanitisation into the comparison from the start rather than adding it later.
Siting, drainage and access
Surface
Level and load-bearing, rated for the filled weight.
Drainage
Where the water goes when you empty it, and how often that happens.
Power
Chillers, heaters and pumps need a supply. Confirm the requirement per system.
Access
Door widths, stairs and turns between the kerb and the final position.

Common questions
Does the tub come with a chiller?
It depends on the listing. Some systems are fully integrated, some are supplied with a matched external chiller, and some are the tub alone. The product page states which. If you are comparing prices across this range, check that first — it is the single largest reason two tubs of similar size differ in price.
Do I need plumbing?
Fixed installations generally need a fill and drain plan, and external chillers need a connection run. Portable tubs are usually filled and emptied without permanent plumbing. Requirements are per system.
Can a cold plunge go on a deck or balcony?
Only if the structure carries the filled weight. That is a structural question about your deck, not a product question — confirm the filled load on the product page and check it against what the structure is rated for.
What is the difference between a cold plunge and cryotherapy?
A cold plunge is water immersion. A walk-in cryotherapy chamber cools using cryogenic or refrigerated air instead, with different site, power and supply requirements. See the cryotherapy range.
How much maintenance is involved?
It depends on whether water stays in the tub between sessions and how many people use it. Filtration, sanitisation and cover options differ by system, and commercial use asks more of all three. The specifics are on each product page.
Are steps and covers included?
Not usually. Steps, rear platforms and insulated covers are listed separately in this range, and fitment is model-specific — check the accessory listing names the tub you own.
Not sure whether you need fixed or portable?
Tell us where the tub would live, whether it needs to move, and how many people will use it, and we will narrow the range to the systems that suit the site.
