The GDI-8035-03 is the corner cabin in the Golden Designs 8000 Reserve range. It carries the same eight-element 5 + 3 full spectrum array and the same dedicated 120V / 20A circuit requirement as the wide-bench GDI-8030-03, but its 54 × 54 inch footprint is shaped to sit into a room corner rather than along a straight wall. It is the Reserve model for rooms where a rectangular cabin would block a walkway or waste a corner.

Why Consider the Reserve GDI-8035-03?
Corner saunas are usually a compromise on specification. This one is not — it is the same 8-heater, 20-amp, salt-bar Reserve cabin as the wide-bench GDI-8030-03, rearranged. The decision between them is purely geometric: a 61″ × 41″ rectangle wants a long clear wall; this 54″ × 54″ corner unit consumes a room corner that would otherwise sit empty and keeps the walls either side of it usable. In a square room, the corner version usually leaves more floor genuinely usable despite occupying a similar area.

Golden Designs publishes the 5 + 3 configuration but does not publish which count corresponds to which infrared band, so Wellari does not state a near/far split for this model. The array is identical to the wide-bench GDI-8030-03; only the cabin geometry and a 50-watt difference in rated power separate them.
Why we do not publish a number. Golden Designs' current V26.0 documentation, all issued on the same date, states different Near Zero EMF measurement figures for its full spectrum range in different documents — the model-family sheet, the full spectrum sheet and the dealer workbook do not agree with one another. Because those figures conflict, Wellari publishes the manufacturer's classification and does not quote a milligauss value until Golden Designs reconciles them. If a specific measured figure is a decision criterion for you, contact us and we will request it in writing.

A 20-amp circuit is not the same as a 15-amp one. At 2,150 watts this model needs a dedicated 20-amp breaker and a matching 20-amp outlet, serving the sauna and nothing else. A 15-amp circuit will not run it, and a 20-amp breaker feeding a 15-amp receptacle is not sufficient. Confirm with a qualified electrician before ordering.
Measure the corner, not just the wall. The cabin occupies a 54″ × 54″ square in plan with the door facing diagonally into the room, so the swing arc projects toward the room centre rather than along a wall. Check that the corner is genuinely square and that skirting boards, pipework or a radiator will not hold the cabin off the walls. Measure the full delivery path as well as the installation area, and leave working space during assembly.

Does the corner unit sacrifice heating compared with the rectangular model?
No. The GDI-8035-03 carries the same 5 + 3 eight-element full spectrum array as the wide-bench GDI-8030-03 and the same dedicated 20-amp circuit requirement. Rated power differs only slightly — 2,150 watts against 2,200. The choice between them is about room shape, not specification.
What electrical circuit does it need?
A dedicated 120V / 20-amp circuit — a 20-amp breaker with a matching 20-amp outlet, serving the sauna and nothing else. A 15-amp circuit is not sufficient at 2,150 watts. Confirm with a qualified electrician before ordering.
How much corner space does it actually need?
A 54″ × 54″ square in plan, plus approximately 4″ for the roof overhang. Because the door faces diagonally into the room, allow clearance for that swing toward the room centre rather than along a wall. Confirm the corner is square and free of skirting boards, pipework or a radiator that would prevent the cabin sitting flush.
Why doesn't this page state an EMF number in milligauss?
Because Golden Designs' own current documents disagree. Three V26.0 documents issued on the same date give three different measurement figures for the full spectrum range. We publish the manufacturer's Near Zero EMF classification and are seeking a reconciled figure. Ask us if you need it in writing before ordering.
