Compex Easy Snap Electrodes — 2" × 2", Five Pack

The small electrode in the Compex Easy Snap range, supplied as five sealed packages of four — 20 electrodes in total. The 2" × 2" pad is the one used on compact muscle groups and at the ends of a placement where a large pad would overhang — biceps, triceps, calves, forearms and the trapezius. Each 2" × 2" electrode takes one lead where a 2" × 4" takes two, so the size you choose changes how many pads a full placement needs.

Wellari Expert Take

Why Consider the 2" × 2" Five Pack?

Compex states that a full electrode set-up for one device needs eight 2" × 2" electrodes, or 2" × 4" electrodes, or a combination of the two. That single sentence is the one most buyers need and rarely find: the small pads are not a cheaper alternative to the large ones, they are a different unit of coverage. A 2" × 4" pad carries two lead wires and spans a broad muscle belly. A 2" × 2" pad carries one, and sits where the muscle is narrow or the placement terminates.

Read against that number, the five-pack is the honest unit for anyone training regularly. Twenty electrodes is two and a half complete set-ups, so it re-pads a device and leaves spares — and pads bought together tend to wear out together. Each of the five packages is sealed separately, so you open one at a time and the rest hold their hydrogel until you need them.

Best For

  • Re-padding a Compex device completely rather than replacing a pair
  • Training weekly or more, where pads are a recurring consumable
  • Households running more than one Compex device
  • Compact muscle groups — biceps, triceps, calves, forearms, trapezius
  • Buying ahead instead of reordering mid-season

Easy Snap 2" × 2" Features & Buying Details

Pack Contents, Size & How Many You Need
  • Box contents: 5 sealed packages, 4 electrodes each — 20 electrodes in total.
  • Pad size: 2" × 2", approximately 50 × 50 mm.
  • Leads per electrode: one. A 2" × 4" electrode accepts two.
  • Full device set-up: Compex states eight 2" × 2" electrodes, or 2" × 4" electrodes, or a combination.
  • Connection: snap-on cables only.
  • Not compatible with: slide-on or pin-style leads.

Open one sealed package at a time. Leaving the remaining four sealed is what preserves the hydrogel.

Device Compatibility
  • Compex Sport Elite 3.0
  • Compex Performance 3.0
  • Compex Edge 3.0
  • Compex Wireless USA
  • Compex Mini Wireless

This is Compex's own compatibility list for the 2" × 2" Easy Snap electrode, and it covers every Compex device we carry. Confirm your unit uses snap-on leads before ordering — older or non-US Compex hardware may use a different connector.

Materials, Placement & Skin Contact
  • Adhesive: conductive hydrogel.
  • Latex: not made with natural rubber latex.

Apply only to clean, dry, intact skin, and follow the placement diagrams supplied with your device for the program you are running. Lotions, oils and creams interfere with both adhesion and conductivity. Remove a pad by lifting the edge rather than pulling the snap connector, return it to its liner, reseal the package, and store it cool and dry.

Do not place electrodes over the front or sides of the neck, over the head, over broken or irritated skin, or in any position the manufacturer's guidance does not show.

When to Replace, and Warranty

Compex indicates an electrode should be replaced when:

  • It no longer sticks reliably to clean, dry skin.
  • The same intensity setting produces a weaker or less comfortable contraction than it used to.
  • The adhesive has filled with lint, dust or hair.

The second point is the one most people miss — a pad that still sticks can already be conducting unevenly. Compex applies a 60-day warranty term to accessories; the two- and three-year device warranties do not extend to consumable electrodes.

Electrode life varies with skin preparation, handling, storage and training frequency. It is not a fixed session count, and we do not publish one.

Before You Buy: check which size has actually worn before ordering. The small 2" × 2" pads and the large 2" × 4" pads wear at different rates depending on which muscle groups you work, and buying the wrong size is the most common ordering mistake in this category. If you only need to replace a failed pair, the single pack is the cheaper answer.

Common Questions

How many electrodes are in this box?

Twenty — five sealed packages of four.

Should I buy this or the single pack?

The single pack of four replaces a failed pair or tops up a mixed placement. This box re-pads a device completely and leaves spares. If you train weekly or run more than one device, the box is the better value per electrode.

How many do I need for a full session?

Compex states a full set-up uses eight 2" × 2" electrodes, or 2" × 4" electrodes, or a combination of both. Count the leads on your device to be certain.

Will these fit my Compex device?

They fit all five current Compex devices we carry, provided the unit uses snap-on leads. They do not fit slide-on or pin-style leads.

What is the difference between the 2" × 2" and the 2" × 4"?

Coverage and lead capacity. The 2" × 4" spans a broad muscle belly and accepts two lead wires. The 2" × 2" covers a compact area and accepts one.

How long does an electrode last?

It varies with skin preparation, handling, storage and training frequency. Compex does not publish a session count and neither do we. Replace a pad when it stops sticking, when the adhesive fills with lint or hair, or when the same intensity setting feels weaker than it used to.

Are they latex-free?

Yes. The packaging states these electrodes are not made with natural rubber latex.

Is there a warranty on electrodes?

Compex applies a 60-day accessory warranty term. Electrodes are consumables, so the longer device warranty does not cover them.

Why Buy From Wellari Wellness

Clear Product Guidance Before You Order

Every figure on this page — pad size, box contents, lead capacity, the number of electrodes a full set-up requires, compatible devices and connector type — is taken from Compex's current published specifications and confirmed against the supplier for this exact part number, not from a distributor summary. Where a specification could not be confirmed against the manufacturer, we leave it off the page rather than fill the gap. Products are sourced through verified manufacturer, distributor or supplier channels.

Important product and safety information. Use these electrodes only with a compatible Compex device and only as directed by the manufacturer. Apply to clean, intact, healthy skin. Do not use if you have a pacemaker, implanted defibrillator or other implanted electronic device unless specifically cleared by a qualified healthcare professional. Review the manufacturer's instructions, warnings, contraindications and electrode-placement guidance before use. Not sure how many you need?

Tell us which Compex device you own and which muscle groups you train, and we will tell you which size — and how many — actually fits.
