Compex Mini Wireless EMS & TENS Muscle Stimulator — 2 Pods
The Mini Wireless is the smallest device Compex makes: two wireless pods weighing about 41 grams, driven from an app on your phone rather than a handheld controller. It carries six programs covering preparation, conditioning, recovery, relaxation and pain management, and it fits in a pocket — which is the entire point of it.
Wellari Expert Take
Why Consider the Mini Wireless?
The Mini exists to solve a specific problem: the stimulator you own is at home. At roughly 41 grams per pod and 66 × 56 × 18 mm, this one goes in a training bag, a suitcase or a jacket pocket without any decision being made about it. There is no controller to carry because your phone is the controller.
Be clear-eyed about the trade-offs, because they are real and they are not hidden. The Mini runs to 299 intensity levels rather than 999, tops out at 75 Hz rather than 95 Hz, and offers one level of progression rather than five. It is not a smaller version of the Sport Elite — it is a lighter-duty device that happens to be extremely portable. If this will be your only stimulator and you train seriously, buy a wired 3.0 unit and accept that it stays at home.
Best For
- Travel, commuting and training away from home
- A second device for someone who already owns a wired Compex
- Users who prefer controlling a device from their phone rather than a handset
- Targeted work on one or two areas rather than whole-session multi-group protocols
- Anyone who wants EMS and TENS in the smallest possible package
Mini Wireless Features & Buying Details
The six programs
- Prewarm Up: does not contract the muscle; raises local blood flow before activity.
- Endurance: targets slow-twitch fibres and resistance to fatigue.
- Resistance: an all-round program working both slow and fast-twitch fibres.
- Training Recovery / Active Recovery: used after training to support the recovery phase.
- Muscle Relaxation: a low-intensity comfort and relaxation setting.
- Pain Management / TENS: nerve-level stimulation for temporary, localised comfort.
The Mini does not include Strength, Explosive Strength, Potentiation or Competition Recovery. Those are on the wired Sport Elite 3.0 and the Wireless USA 2.0.
App control and connectivity
- Control: the device is operated from the Compex Mini app rather than a handheld unit.
- Platforms: iOS and Android.
- Placement guidance: integrated pad-placement suggestions.
- Intensity: up to 299 levels; 1 level of progression.
- Maximum frequency: 75 Hz.
Because control lives in the app, a working smartphone is part of the system rather than an optional extra. That is worth weighing if you want a device that runs entirely on its own.
Size, power and portability
- Pod weight: 40.8 g.
- Pod dimensions: 66 × 56 × 18 mm.
- Battery: rechargeable, up to 6 hours of stimulation per charge.
- Charging: USB charging cable included.
- Water resistance: not water resistant.
Six hours is the shortest runtime in the Compex range, which is the cost of the size. USB charging means it travels on the same cable as your phone.

Replacement Electrodes for This Device
The Mini Wireless ships with six electrodes — four 2" × 2" and two 2" × 4" — and they are the consumable you will re-order.
One caution specific to the Mini. Compex lists its 2" × 4" replacement packs as compatible with the Sport Elite 3.0, Performance 3.0, Edge 3.0 and Wireless USA, but does not list the Mini Wireless among them. Rather than assume the pads are interchangeable, ask us before ordering replacements and we will confirm the correct pad with the manufacturer for your device.
You can browse what we currently stock in the full Compex range, including the 2" × 4" single pack and 2" × 4" 5 pack.
Compex covers electrodes under its 60-day accessory warranty rather than the two-year device warranty.
Common Questions
How many pods and electrodes are included?
Two wireless pods and six electrodes — four 2" × 2" snap electrodes and two 2" × 4" snap electrodes — plus two short and two long snap lead wires, a USB charging cable and a carrying case.
Do I need a smartphone to use it?
Yes. The Mini Wireless is controlled from the Compex Mini app on iOS or Android; there is no separate handheld controller.
Is it as powerful as the wired Compex units?
No, and it is not intended to be. The Mini reaches 299 intensity levels and 75 Hz with one level of progression. The wired 3.0 units reach 999 levels and 95 Hz with five levels of progression — see the Sport Elite 3.0 if that matters to you.
Is it water resistant?
No. The Mini Wireless is not water resistant. The wired Edge, Performance and Sport Elite units have a water-resistant silicone sleeve.
Which replacement electrodes does it take?
Contact us before ordering. Compex does not list its current 2" × 4" replacement packs for the Mini Wireless, and we would rather confirm the correct pad with the manufacturer than have you buy the wrong one.
Can I use it if I have a pacemaker?
No. Do not use this device if you have a pacemaker, an implanted defibrillator or any other implanted electronic device unless a qualified healthcare professional has specifically cleared you to do so.
Why buy from Wellari
Manufacturer Specifications, Stated Plainly
Every figure on this page — program count, intensity range, frequency, pod count and weight, battery runtime, electrode quantity and warranty terms — is taken from Compex's current published specifications for this exact model, not from a distributor summary. We have also stated plainly where this device is weaker than its siblings, and where the manufacturer's accessory compatibility is unclear, because that is the information a buyer actually needs in order to choose correctly.
Not sure which Compex is right for you?
Tell us how you train and we will tell you which model actually fits — including when the cheaper one is the right answer.
