Every VibePlate publishes the same motion, frequency range and amplitude. The 3048 is the choice when the limiting factor is surface area: it is six inches deeper and eight inches wider than the 2440.

Vertical vibration moves the whole platform straight up and down. It behaves differently from pivotal oscillation, where the platform tilts about a central axis like a see-saw. The two are not interchangeable and preference between them is individual, so decide on motion type before you compare sizes.
