Two heating systems, one cabin, indoors. Full spectrum infrared combines near, mid and far infrared and warms the body directly at a comparatively low air temperature — better for longer sessions. The Harvia stove heats the air to traditional Finnish sauna temperatures and lets you pour water for steam.

On the "3 + 5" notation. Golden Designs publishes the infrared array as a two-part count and does not state which figure corresponds to which infrared band. We publish the documented notation and the total of eight elements, and do not assign a split the manufacturer has not stated.

Harvia is a Finnish sauna-stove manufacturer, and the stove is specified by Golden Designs as part of this model rather than an aftermarket addition.

Why there is no number here. The V26.0 GDI sheet that carries this model states a Full Spectrum EMF figure of 0 mG at 3 inches / 1 mG at 1 inch. The dealer workbook describes the same model as Near Zero EMF, under 3 mG at 2 to 3 inches — a different value, a different class name and a different measuring distance. Both documents are dated 01 May 2026 and they cannot both be the specification.

Rather than publish whichever figure reads better, we publish neither and are seeking a reconciled figure from the manufacturer. If a measured EMF figure is a decision criterion for you, contact us and we will request it from Golden Designs in writing before you order.

When comparing sauna models generally, always read a stated figure together with the distance it was measured at — a lower number taken further from the panel is not necessarily a lower-emission cabin.

This is the item to settle before anything else. A 240V / 30A supply is a hard-wired circuit on its own 30-amp breaker — not a household outlet. Even indoors it needs running from the panel to the sauna's position and terminating properly.

It is, however, the lightest electrical requirement of any hybrid we carry: the 8KW outdoor cabins want 240V / 40A. If a 40-amp circuit is out of reach in your panel, this is the hybrid that may still be achievable.

Have a certified electrician confirm panel capacity, the practicality of the run and local permit requirements before ordering — retrofitting after a 450 lb cabin is assembled in the room is the expensive way to find out.

Golden Designs specifies the oversize colour therapy system on this cabin rather than the standard-size unit, along with exterior accent lighting — which is worth having on an indoor cabin, where the outside of the sauna is part of the room you live in.

Bronze glass rather than clear gives more privacy in a shared indoor space.

Measure the depth as carefully as the width. At 57 inches deep this cabin projects nearly five feet into a room — considerably more than a conventional indoor infrared sauna, because it has to house a stove as well as the infrared array.

A note on the stated height. Golden Designs' price sheet gives the height as 75 inches; its dealer workbook gives 80 inches for the same model. We publish the price-sheet figure as the primary document, but if you are fitting this under a low ceiling, allow for 80 inches and confirm with us before ordering. We have asked the manufacturer to reconcile the two.

At approximately 450 lb assembled the cabin cannot practically be repositioned once built. Check the floor if you are siting it anywhere other than a ground-floor slab, and measure the full delivery path — doorways, hallway turns and stairs.

Plan for curbside delivery, then plan for getting it inside. This is an indoor cabin that arrives on a pallet at the kerb — so unlike the outdoor hybrids, you also have to move roughly 675 lb of cartons into the house and to the room. Measure doorways and turns before ordering, and arrange help and equipment.

On the carton count. Golden Designs' price sheet states six boxes on one pallet; the dealer workbook states four. We have asked the manufacturer to confirm. Plan for up to six cartons when arranging help and access.

Golden Designs documents a 5-year warranty for this model. Note that the outdoor hybrid cabins in the same range carry a split term — 5 years electronic and 1 year on the stove — so do not assume the outdoor terms apply here or vice versa.

Warranty terms, coverage and claim procedures are set by the manufacturer and may vary by component. Review the manufacturer's current warranty documentation for the terms that apply to your unit.

Natural wood notice: Grain, tone, knots and other natural characteristics vary between individual cabins and may differ slightly from product photography. This is normal for solid Canadian Hemlock and is not a defect.

Usage and ventilation: Intended for indoor residential use on a level, solid floor. A traditional stove in an indoor cabin makes ventilation of the surrounding room more important than it would be outdoors — follow the manufacturer's installation and clearance instructions, and discuss room ventilation with your installer.

Stove safety: A traditional stove reaches high temperatures and produces steam. Keep clear of the stove, observe the manufacturer's clearances, and supervise anyone unfamiliar with stove saunas.

Hydration and comfort: Stay appropriately hydrated, and leave the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded, uncomfortable or otherwise unwell.
