Two heating systems, one cabin. Full spectrum infrared combines near, mid and far infrared and warms the body directly, keeping the air comparatively cool — better for longer sessions. The Harvia stove heats the air to traditional Finnish sauna temperatures and, with the included bucket and water spoon, lets you pour water for steam.

Why 6KW is the right stove here. Stove output is matched to cabin volume. At 59.5 inches wide this is the smallest hybrid in the range, and a 6KW Harvia is sized for it — the larger cabins step up to 8KW and, with that, to a 40-amp circuit.

On the "4 + 2" notation. Golden Designs publishes the infrared array as a two-part count and does not state which figure corresponds to which infrared band. We publish the documented notation and the total of six elements, and do not assign a split the manufacturer has not stated.

Why there is no number here. The manufacturer's current V26.0 hybrid documentation states no EMF measurement for this model at all. Separately, where Golden Designs does publish full spectrum EMF figures, its own documents issued on the same date disagree with one another. We will not carry a figure across from a different product range to fill the gap, and we will not quote a number we cannot attribute to this model.

If a measured EMF figure is a decision criterion for you, contact us and we will request it from Golden Designs in writing before you order. When comparing sauna models generally, always read a stated figure together with the distance it was measured at.

This is the lightest electrical requirement in the hybrid range, and it is still a serious one. A 240V / 30A supply is a hard-wired circuit on its own 30-amp breaker — not a household outlet. It must be run to the cabin position and terminated to standards appropriate for the installation.

Have a certified electrician confirm panel capacity, the practicality of the run, and local permit and inspection requirements before you order. The advantage over the 40-amp cabins is real but it is a difference of degree, not of kind: you still need an electrician and, in most jurisdictions, a permit.

Golden Designs specifies the oversize colour light therapy system on the Red Cedar hybrid cabins — the Hemlock models in the same range carry the standard-size unit.

The sandglass, bucket and water spoon are the working tools of a traditional sauna rather than decoration: you need the bucket and spoon to pour water on the stove. Stainless steel hinges and handle matter on a cabin exposed to weather.

Narrow but deep. At 59.5 inches wide this is the narrowest hybrid in the range, but at 71 inches deep it is not a small footprint — it projects nearly six feet from the wall or fence line it sits against. Plan for the depth as carefully as the width.

The base matters. At approximately 925 lb assembled plus occupants, the cabin needs a level, solid, load-bearing base — a poured pad, a properly built deck, or equivalent. A panel cabin relies on square alignment to seal, and an uneven or soft base prevents that.

Check height clearance too: at 88.3 inches the cabin is over seven feet tall, so allow for overhanging branches, eaves and any restriction that applies to garden structures where you live.

Note that although this is the smallest hybrid cabin, the shipment is not light — the pallet weight is comparable to the far larger Hemlock models because of the heavier all-weather construction. The carrier brings the pallet to the curb and does not move it further. Arrange help and equipment in advance, and confirm a freight vehicle can reach your address and that you have a route to the installation site.

Read the warranty as two warranties, because it is. Golden Designs covers electronic components for five years and the stove for one. On a hybrid that matters — the stove is the component doing the hardest work in traditional mode.

Natural wood notice: Grain, tone, knots and other natural characteristics vary between individual cabins and may differ slightly from product photography. This is normal for solid Red Cedar and is not a defect.

Cedar sensitivity: Red Cedar has a strong natural aroma. A small number of people find cedar oils irritating to the eyes, skin or airways — if anyone in the household is sensitive to cedar, the Hemlock hybrid models are worth considering instead.

Weather exposure: The all-weather exterior is designed for outdoor conditions, but any outdoor structure needs periodic inspection and maintenance per the manufacturer's instructions and your local climate.

Usage and safety: Install on a level, solid base and operate according to the manufacturer's instructions and electrical requirements. A traditional stove reaches high temperatures and produces steam — keep clear of the stove, observe the manufacturer's clearances, and supervise anyone unfamiliar with stove saunas. Stay appropriately hydrated and leave the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded or unwell.
