Two heating systems, one cabin. Full spectrum infrared combines near, mid and far infrared and warms the body directly — the air stays comparatively cool, which suits longer sessions. The Harvia stove heats the air to traditional Finnish sauna temperatures and, with the included bucket and water spoon, lets you produce steam. They are different experiences, and this cabin gives you both without buying two saunas.

On the "6 + 2" notation. Golden Designs publishes the infrared array as a two-part count and does not state which figure corresponds to which infrared band. Wellari therefore publishes the documented notation and the total of eight elements, and does not assign a near/far split the manufacturer has not stated.

Harvia is a Finnish sauna-stove manufacturer and the stove is specified by Golden Designs as part of this model — it is not an aftermarket addition.

Why there is no number here. Golden Designs' current V26.0 outdoor-hybrid documentation states no EMF measurement for this model at all. Separately, where the manufacturer does publish full spectrum EMF figures, its own documents issued on the same date disagree with one another. We will not carry a figure across from a different product range to fill the gap, and we will not quote a number we cannot attribute to this model.

If a measured EMF figure is a decision criterion for you, contact us and we will request it from Golden Designs in writing before you order. When comparing sauna models generally, always read a stated figure together with the distance it was measured at — a lower number taken further from the panel is not necessarily a lower-emission cabin.

This is the single most important thing to settle before ordering. A 240V / 40A supply is not a household outlet — it is a hard-wired circuit on its own 40-amp breaker, comparable to an electric range or a car charger, and it must be run out to the cabin's location and terminated to outdoor-rated standards.

Have a certified electrician confirm three things before you order: that your panel has the capacity for a 40-amp 240V circuit, that the run to the intended cabin position is practical, and what the local permit and inspection requirements are for an outdoor installation. Retrofitting this after a 750 lb cabin is standing in the garden is the expensive way to find out.

Golden Designs specifies the stove and the full spectrum system together on this supply for the Carinthia and Gargellen — it is one circuit, not two.

The sandglass, thermometer, bucket and water spoon are the working tools of a traditional sauna rather than decoration — you need the bucket and spoon to pour water on the stove, and the thermometer and sandglass to run a session properly. Golden Designs includes them with this model.

Stainless steel hinges and handle matter more on an outdoor cabin than an indoor one, for the obvious reason.

Just over eight feet tall. At 97.4 inches this cabin is considerably taller than an indoor sauna, so check overhanging branches, eaves, gutters and any height restriction that applies to garden structures where you live.

The base matters. The cabin needs a level, solid, load-bearing base — a poured pad, a properly built deck, or equivalent. At roughly 750 lb assembled plus occupants, an uneven or soft base will cause the panels to sit out of square, and a panel cabin relies on square alignment to seal.

Plan the position around the electrical run and the delivery path together. Nine cartons have to reach the site from the curb.

The carrier brings the pallet to the curb and does not move it to the garden, through a gate, or around a house. Arrange help and equipment in advance — this is not a two-person carry from the kerb to the back of a property in one trip.

Confirm before ordering that a freight vehicle can reach your address and that you have a route from the delivery point to the installation site.

Read the warranty as two warranties, because it is. Golden Designs covers the electronic components for five years and the stove for one. That is worth knowing up front on a hybrid, because the stove is the component doing the hardest work in traditional mode.

Natural wood notice: Grain, tone, knots and other natural characteristics vary between individual cabins and may differ slightly from product photography. This is normal for solid Canadian Hemlock and is not a defect.

Outdoor exposure: The exterior carries a waterproof clear finish from the factory. Any outdoor timber structure needs periodic inspection and re-treatment according to the manufacturer's instructions and your local climate — follow Golden Designs' maintenance guidance rather than assuming the factory finish is permanent.

Usage and safety: Install on a level, solid base and operate according to the manufacturer's instructions and electrical requirements. A traditional stove reaches high temperatures and produces steam — keep clear of the stove, observe the manufacturer's clearances, and supervise anyone unfamiliar with stove saunas. Stay appropriately hydrated and leave the sauna immediately if you feel dizzy, lightheaded or unwell.
