The DCT-B-042-SSPC-34 is the stainless-lined version of the upright 42-inch Dynamic Cold Therapy barrel: a 304 stainless steel interior inside a Pacific Cedar shell, with 3/4-inch connections, ball valves and quick connects fitted, an insulated locking cover and a Pacific Cedar step included. The cooling system is optional and not included — this is supplied as a tub.

This is the same 42-inch upright barrel as the plastic-lined model — same footprint, same interior dimensions, same cedar shell, same included items — with a 304 stainless steel interior instead of plastic.
304 is the standard food-and-beverage grade of stainless: corrosion-resistant, non-porous, and the surface people generally prefer for water they sit in. It cleans easily and does not hold odour or stain the way a polymer surface eventually can. It is also the more expensive and slightly heavier of the two — 255 lb empty against 220.
Choose on surface preference, not on performance. The two are dimensionally identical and both are supplied tub-only. If you want a stainless interior and the look that comes with it, this is the one; if you want the best value in the same tub, the plastic-lined version is the same plunge.

Not included: the cooling and heating system. The tub is pre-plumbed for one — the 3/4-inch valves and quick connects are fitted at the factory — so adding a chiller later is a connection job, not a modification.
Wellari carries both Dynamic Cold Therapy Premier Edition systems: the 0.8 HP and the 1.0 HP. Both cool to a low of 37°F, heat as well as cool, and use matching 3/4-inch connections. For a tub of this size in a conditioned indoor space the 0.8 HP is normally sufficient.

This is an upright plunge. At 38 inches of interior width and 33 inches of interior depth you sit rather than lie — water comes up around the chest when seated. Taller users should measure against that 33-inch interior height before assuming full-shoulder immersion.
Plan for the filled weight. The tub is 255 lb empty — 35 lb heavier than the plastic-lined version. Filled with water plus an occupant it is a substantial point load, so check the structure if you are siting it on a raised deck, a balcony or an upper floor rather than a slab.
A locking cover is not a minor accessory. It keeps debris out, slows heat gain between sessions — which directly reduces how hard a chiller has to work — and the lock matters in any household with children.

This tub ships by freight, not by parcel carrier. Dynamic Cold Therapy specifies curbside delivery on a pallet — the driver brings it to the kerb and no further. At 280 lb in a single large carton this is the heaviest of the three barrels to move; arrange at least two people and a clear route before the delivery date.
Worth knowing: the 50-inch oval barrel ships by UPS/FedEx Ground instead. If freight access to your address is difficult, that difference may matter more than the material.

Natural wood notice: Grain, tone, knots and other natural characteristics vary between individual tubs and may differ slightly from product photography. This is normal for solid Pacific Cedar and is not a defect. Cedar has a natural aroma; a small number of people find cedar oils irritating.
Usage: Intended for residential use. Site on a level, solid, load-bearing surface and operate according to the manufacturer's instructions. Keep the cover locked when the tub is not in use, particularly where children have access.

What is the practical difference between the stainless and plastic versions?
Surface, weight and price. 304 stainless is non-porous, corrosion-resistant and easy to clean, and it does not hold odour or stain over time the way a polymer surface eventually can.
