Chamber choice in the Summit to Sea range comes down to space and posture, not pressure — every chamber in Summit's current lineup operates at the same 1.3 ATA (4.4 PSI). The upright models exist for two reasons, and they are worth separating.
The first is posture. Some people simply do not want to lie down for an hour, and some cannot comfortably. Sitting upright changes the experience — you can read, work or watch something without craning, and getting in and out is a step rather than a lowering.
